V Marine currently offers several original design push pole holders. The V Marine Push Pole Holders have the smallest foot print of any push pole holders currently on the market and are a great, very stylish option for your bay boat, flats boat, or poling skiff.

The Original and Spool style aluminum V Marine Push Pole Holders

These holders are made of anodized aluminum with a stainless steel quick-detach bolt.  A base plate attaches to the deck of your bay boat, flats boat, or poling skiff allowing the top part of the holders to quickly spin on and off the base plate.

V Marine Push Pole Holders are currently available in stock in two different colors (polished and black). Our custom parts department offers a wide variety of colors for our push pole holders.  V Marine Push Pole Holders also come with three different size base plates (Small, Medium and Large).

If you have a bay boat or flats boat and only bring your push pole along on rare occasion the design of the V Marine Push Pole Holders allow you to remove the push pole holders from the deck of your boat when you do not bring the push pole with you. The only thing left on the deck of your boat is going to be a small base plate. When you decide you are going to bring your push pole along for the day of fishing the V Marine Push Pole Holders can easily be screwed back on the base plate allowing the push pole to be put back onto the deck of your boat.

On your poling skiff the small design of the V Marine Push Pole Holders allows the push pole holders to stay out of your way while walking around on the deck of the boat. If you choice to leave the forward push pole holder on the deck of the boat while fly fishing the small design also allows the V Marine Push Pole Holders to stay out of the way of fly lines on the deck of the boat.

Always clean your Push Pole Holders at the end of each day and regularly apply anti-seizing grease to the stainless steel bolt attached to the bottom of the push pole holder.  The grease will help prevent the top of the holder from seizing to the anodized aluminum base plate.

Small Base Plate design allows the mounting of the holders on the deck of your boat while taking up as little space as possible. The small base plate is perfect for new boats that do not currently have different brand push pole holders currently mounted on the deck of the boat.

Medium Base Plate design is still very small size at only 2 inches across and provides a fourth screw mounting hole on the base plate. The medium base plate design will cover the holes made by plastic push pole holders currently on the market that use two screws to attach to the deck of your boat. The screw holes from the plastic push pole holders will need to be patched (filled) due to the different screw size and mounting pattern of the V Marine Push Pole Holders but the patch does not have to look perfect due to the V Marine base plate covering the old holes.

Large Base Plate is 2 7/8 inch across and provides four mounting holes. The large base plate allows you to change the look of the deck of your boat without having to worry about a costly patch done to existing screw holes from your current push pole holders. The large base plate design will cover the holes made by plastic push pole holders currently on the market that use three screws to attach to the deck of your boat. The screw holes from the plastic push pole holders will need to be patched (filled) due to the different screw size and mounting pattern of the V Marine Push Pole Holders but the patch does not have to look perfect due to the V Marine base plate covering the old holes.

Plastic Spool style Push Pole Holders

We now offer the spool style holders in plastic as well as aluminum.  The plastic option is a less expensive option to the aluminum style holders while still offering the same design benefits as the aluminum style holders.  We also offer the option of either plastic or aluminum base plates with this style holder.  The plastic base plates are less expensive but not as strong as the aluminum base plate option.  The aluminum base plate option provides added strength in the base plate while maintaining the benefits of plastic tops and reduced cost over the aluminum style holders.

Classic/Guide style Push Pole Holders

The Classic style Push Pole Holders is over version of the traditional classic style push pole holders. We have made several design improvements to our holders over the tradition holders that have been on the market for an extended period of time.  Our holders have a decreased diameter allowing the push pole to fit tighter in the holders allowing less movement of the push pole.  We have increased the surface area of the holder the pole touches allowing the pole to sit more secure in the holders.  We also have the smallest footprint available in this style of push pole holder allowing the holders to be mounted on smaller surfaces than traditional holders.  We have also updated the style of the holders giving them a more modern look.  We have incorporated a new design (shark fin bungee catch) on the holders as well.

Which Push Pole Holder design is the right one for you?

Are you a guide or someone that is on the water more days than not?

If this is the case the classic/guide style holders will be the correct choice for you.  The classic style holders are not removable like the original or spool style holders but they require less maintenance than the original or spool style holders do.

Do you use a 24 foot or longer push pole?

If this is the case the classic/guide style holders will be the correct choice for you.  The longer push pole tend to have more bounce in them than 22 foot and shorter push poles.  With the added bounce of the longer push poles the classic/guide style holders will hold the longer push poles more secure.

Do you like the option of quickly removing the push pole holders to allow the deck to be free of push pole holders?

Either the original or spool design holders will be the correct choice for you.  These designs allow you to quickly remove the top of the push pole holders off the deck of your skiff/flats boat allowing only a small base plate to be left attached to the deck of you skiff/flats boat.

Do you want to add customs touches/custom look to the deck of your skiff/flats boat?

Either the original or spool design holders will be the correct choice for you.  These designs allow you to add custom touches to the deck of your skiff/flats boat.  We offer the holders in many different colors and even have the ability to laser engrave artwork on the top of the holders for an added custom touches.

Warning

No matter what brand push pole holders you use you should use always use bungee cord to secure the push pole to the push pole holders.  It is not worth taking a chance of running/trailering your boat without attaching your push pole to your holders using some strong bungee or similar style cord.  If you do not do this you are taking a chance your pole will fly out of the holders and break or you may even lose the pole.  The bungee provides added security to help prevent this from happening.
