We are happy to announce the latest addition to the V marine product lineup our poling platform push pole holder.

Our poling platform holder comes in two different color options just like our push pole holders. The color options are polished anodized and black anodized.

There will be three different mounting options for the poling platform holder. The first option is to permanently mount the holder to the poling platform with a bolt/washer through the lid of the poling platform. The second option is to mount a V Marine quick detach base plate (the same small base plate used with our push pole holders) to the lid of the poling platform and the holder will spin on and off of the quick detach base plate with ease. The third option and our newest option is our new locking base plate set-up.  The locking base plate set-up works similar to the quick detach set-up but provides extra security to prevent the top portion of the holder from coming lose while running the skiff.

The permanently mounted holder gives an extra sense of security since the holder will be through bolted into the lid or pipe of the poling platform. This also allows you not to have to worry about screwing the holder on and off when needed.

Use of the quick detach base plate with the poling platform holder allows for easy on and off of the poling platform holder. This provides advantages while traveling with your boat or with garage height restrictions associate it with poling platform heights.

Our new locking base plate set-up works similar to the quick detach set-up and offers the same advantages as the quick detach set-up but provides extra security to prevent the top portion of the holder from coming lose while running the skiff.

Permanent Mount set-up bolt size

The bolt size needed to permanently mount the poling platform holder is 3/8″ – 16 thread. Most poling platforms require between a 3/4 to 1 1/2 inch long bolt. The length of the bolt can vary depending on poling platform thickness and washer thickness.

Warnings

Do not try to remove the bolt from the bottom of the poling platform holder if it is set-up to use the quick detach base plate (you will damage the bolt and holder beyond repair)

Because poling platforms can vibrate/shake while running your boat be aware that the top of the poling platform holder can rattle lose or even come off of the quick detach base plate if not secured tightly.

The quick detach base plate is made of anodized aluminum and the bolt is stainless steel because if the different metals the bolt will require cleaning and anti-corrosion spray or grease to keep the holder functioning properly.
